
Fife Cycle Park is Go!!
DCC are proud to have attended the launch and ground cutting of Fife Cycle Park yesterday by Provost of Fife, Cllr Jim Leishman. Work on Scotland’s first purpose built cycle circuit, in Fife, will begin next week.
The 1.6km outdoor circuit, which will be built on land between Lochgelly High School and Lochore Meadows Country Park, will offer cycling opportunities in a traffic free environment to people of all ages and abilities. Opening in early 2018, the facility will ensure

June's Club 100 Ride - Headwinds, Bikers, a Duke and Romance!
Yesterday saw the second of our Club 100 rides with a fantastic turnout of members! The Club 100s are a summer series of longer cafe runs alternating between 100k and 100 miles every month and organised by our very own Mary Morgan. Originally planned for a tour of the East Neuk the somewhat blustery weather saw a late route change heading West to avoid a headwind on the return leg. DCC storm Cairngorm Sportive
Dunfermline Cycling Club members enjoyed a superb day at the Cairngorms Sportive on Saturday with riders James Bell and Ken Thomson posting the 2nd and 4th quickest times of the day respectively (at 5h 06m for James and 5h24m for Ken). Twelve other members completed the 98 mile course completing it in times up to seven and a half hours (we're not all as quick as James and Ken!). Tom Bishop wins Volunteering Award
We're delighted to announce that long standing committee member and former Chairman Tom Bishop has won a long service award at tonight's Fife Voluntary Action award ceremony. Tom's volunteering dates back 32 years, starting as a Karate Instructor for 20 years guiding many to reach Black Belt standard, then at Dunfermline Amateur Swimming Club, teaching beginners and then coaching the Bronze squad for a couple of years. National Champs win for Ross
It was a golden weekend for DCC Junior Ross Thomson. Racing to victories and a National Championship jersey over two days. His winning streak started Saturday where he raced an excellent race to finish the 1st junior in the Renfrewshire road race. With a days racing already in his legs Ross lined up for the Scottish 25 mile TT championships the next morning. Proving his pedigree again he stormed to a superb victory with a time of 56:24.
